Darius Doesn’t Hunt Like the Others
Not all predators kill. Some choose.

There are things in the world that hunt because they need to.
Darius isn’t one of them. He doesn’t chase. He doesn’t lose control. He doesn’t leave bodies behind unless he decides it’s necessary. Where others of his kind burn through the world like a disease, Darius moves through it with intention. Which makes him far more dangerous.
He understands restraint in a way most predators never learn. Hunger doesn’t rule him—it informs him. Every action is measured. Every choice has a purpose. And when he does act, it’s never random.
Darius exists in a space between worlds. Not fully human. Not fully something else. He knows what he is, and more importantly, he knows what he refuses to become. That line matters.
Because there are things buried under this city that don’t respect restraint. Things that feed without thought. Things that would tear through lives without ever questioning the cost.
Darius sees them clearly. And he doesn’t intend to let them.
